featuring Stefan Christoff on piano, Rebecca Foon on cello, Radwan Moumneh on buzuq, Peter Burton on contrabass, Norman Nawrocki on violin, Matana Roberts on sax and Sam Shalabi on oud.

Duets for Abdelrazik is a cultural project aiming to express musical solidarity for the ongoing struggle of  Abousfian Abdelrazik, a Sudanese-Canadian jailed on the recommendation of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) in Sudan.

It is difficult to describe in words both the horror of torture but also the sustained determination sustained by Abdelrazik in the struggle for justice. In music great Montreal artists recorded Duets for Abdelrazik in an attempt to illuminate Abdelrazik’s struggle.
